It is an honor to be a part of such an amazing group of people."

Frank Laspin

Secondary Education: History

SPSEA, in general, has given me the opportunity to truly become a part of the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg.  Not only have I participated in activities and events that will help me become the best educator I can possibly be, but I have also made friendships which will carry on throughout the course of my life.  On top of being an active member in the Pitt-Greensburg chapter of SPSEA, this past year I served as the Business Manager.  This has allowed me to strengthen my leadership skills by collaborating with my officer counterparts, so that the Pitt-Greensburg chapter of SPSEA can be the standard-bearer for the entire state of Pennsylvania.  The lessons and skills I have learned as an SPSEA officer will translate into continued growth as a future-educator, and eventual success as a professional educator.  I am extremely grateful for everything that SPSEA has done for me.
